Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche to lead a Konchog Chidu drubchen retreat and bestow the empowerment of Karling Shitro

Danakosha has a great joy to announce that Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche will lead a Konchok Chidu drubchen and bestow the empowerment of Karling Shitro, or Hundred Peaceful and Wrathful Deities, in Siikainen, western Finland, from September 5th to September 12th 2013. Drubchen is an especially powerful group retreat, and its purpose is to bring harmony to sentient beings, remove obstacles brought by the imbalance of the five elements, such as earthquakes and floods, and further world peace and smooth, harmonious and stable advancement of the noble Buddhadharma in Finland.

Drubchen is a traditional Tibetan Buddhist group retreat, and it is considered to be particularly powerful. It is said to act as a remedy to the negative forces at work in the world, and to promote inner peace, peace within the community and world peace. Danakosha has organized a Konchog Chidu drubchen also in the previous three years. They have been very successful and brought much joy and inspiration to the participants.

Konchok Chidu means the "Embodiment of the Precious Ones." It is a Guru Rinpoche practice which encompasses all the Three Roots - outer peaceful Padmasambhava as the Guru, inner wrathful Padmasambhava as the Yidam, and secret Padmasambhava in the form of Simhamukha as the Dakini. The terma was discovered by the terton Jatson Nyingpo, a reincarnation of Nyongben Tingzin Zangpo, a close student of Padmasambhava. Konchog Chidu is a very profound and wide cycle of teachings, and it is one of the highest and most secret way of accomplishing Padmasambhava's mind.

You can read more about Konchog Chidu here.

Everybody is welcome to participate in the drubchen, and especially the members of Danakosha Mandala are strongly encouraged to take part.

For some it may be difficult to arrange free time for a whole week, even though one might so wish. Those who are unable to attend the drubchen, may nonetheless have a connection with it and accumulate merit through offering to the expenses. There are many costs in organizing a drubchen, such as meals for the participants every day, or tsog and butter lamp offerings every day. It is a Tibetan custom to offer for example the meals for everyone for one day. If you would like to give an offering for the expenses, please send us email.

We provide bus transportation from Helsinki to the retreat centre and back for those having requested in their registration form. The cost will be significantly lower than public transportation.

The bus from Helsinki to Siikainen departs on September 4th at 12 (noon) from the modern art museum Kiasma in the city centre, address Mannerheiminaukio 2. The bus back departs on September 13th at 9 am.
