Danakosha Finland has the great joy to announce that H.E. the 7th Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche has kindly accepted Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche's invitation to Finland to give teachings from September 14th to 16th 2012.
H.E. Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche was born in 1965 as a son of Damchoe Yongdu and Lekshey Dolma, his father being the general secretary of H.H. the 16th Karmapa. H.H. the 16th Karmapa recognized His Eminence as a reincarnation of the 6th Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche.
H.E. Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche is one of the main throne holders of Dzogchen Monastery, one of the largest monasteries of Nyingma tradition in Tibet. He is also a lineage holder of Dzogchen teachings. He has received extensive traditional training in contemplative, intellectual and artistic traditions of Tibetan and Indian Buddhism from many great masters such as H.H. 16th Karmapa and H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.
H.E. Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche is one of the first young Tibetan Buddhist teachers to teach in western countries. He stays permanently in the USA, where he has established the Nitartha Institute, modeled after Tibetan Shedra system, where students combine the study of key texts and commentaries with thorough training in debate and analytical meditation. Rinpoche has also written many wonderful books, such as Rebel Buddha and a commentary on the prayer of Samantabhadra.
