Vajrasattva (Minling Dorsem)

Minling Dorsem has eight extraordinary qualities:

1. Dorje Sempa or Vajrasattva pervades all Buddha families, and therefore all tantric deities stem from him. There is no deity that is not included in him. Buddha says: whoever hears the name of Vajrasattva will certainly obtain his pure land, receive the blessings of all Buddhas, enter Mahayana, obtain extraordinary clarity of mind, will certainly hear of the Buddhas, etc. Therefore the deity is extraordinary.
2. The mantra of Vajrasattva is the most beneficial one, and there is nothing with more benefit and qualities than it. In the tantric teachings it is said: If you say this highest mantra, the king of secret mantra, even just one time, it exhausts all unvirtues, accomplishes all activities, etc. Therefore the mantra is extraordinary.
3. The way to practice the sadhana is extraordinary.
4. The sadhana has all the traditions of kama, terma and different masters in one. Therefore the combination of all traditions in one is extraordinary.
5. The treasure revealer is extraordinary, because he is the lineage holder of many lineages.
6. This is easy to carry and make, and not specific to any one school or one class, but it is suitable to all sarma and nyingma schools. Therefore the activities are extraordinary.
7. If someone practices only this sadhana, they will have marvellous signs in this life or in the bardo state. Therefore the blessings are extraordinary.
8. All lineage masters from Terdag Lingpa through Mindrolling family lineage to this day are great masters. Therefore the lineage is extraordinary.

These are the eight extraordinary qualities of Minling Dorsem, an essential practice in the Mindrolling tradition.
