In this world we can see that uncountable sentient beings are rushing through their entire lives for eating, sleeping, walking and staying. If you look carefully, you can see that each of the sentient beings without exception has the same wish to attain happiness and avoid suffering. However, uncountable sentient beings have no methods of getting happiness and avoiding suffering, as well as not even the tiniest speck of wisdom of what to accept and what to reject or power of good conduct of benefiting others. They don't even have any idea to ask for protection from supreme beings with loving kindness and wisdom. Therefore they experience only suffering for their entire lives, and they are therefore truly objects of compassion.
The beings of our human realm are much more powerful and better than those sentient beings, because we have the possibility to arouse a motivation to find out how to get happiness and avoid suffering, and we can diligently use our power to get knowledge and methods of what to accept and reject. Even if we don't have enough power of accepting and rejecting correctly, we can at least ask those who have loving kindness and wisdom to protect us and request their help. Those beings help very happily, proudly and respectfully.
We can take for example South Africa and the poor people in the Himalaya region, and the developed countries. The developed countries give help for education, health, clothes and food. This help is not only material, but it helps also the inner quality of mind, because it gives the education of wisdom, medicine of compassion, and food and clothes of kindness and love. Those giving vast and extensive help are very grateful for the people in the poor regions. The poor countries are not the only ones who benefit, but world peace and human rights also increase. This is the great foundation of the benefit and happiness of the sentient beings.
How did this come to be? If there is an imbalance in economy, education and behaviour, then we have many wars and overuse of resources, leading to destruction of environment and bringing problems to the entire world. Therefore the developed countries help the undeveloped, knowledgeable people help the uneducated, and the rich help the poor. Helping and taking equal part in happiness and suffering always brings peace and joy for all. It is also a source of a perfect and great world. Therefore those who have the ability, give support through material means, wisdom and loving kindness.
